DNSthingy 3.2.1_7 for pfSense released to Rapid Release

Today we released 3.2.1_7 to pfSense Rapid Release to resolve a bug affecting users of pfSense versions older than 2.4.4.

The system would have DNSthingy missing from the Services menu and the service would no longer be running.

To resolve install this new version via the following steps:

  1. In the pfSense WebUI go to Diagnostics / Command Prompt
  2. Enter the shell command: pkg install -y dnsthingy
  3. Click Execute

This will re-install using the patched version and everything should be OK.

We recommend users upgrade to pfSense 2.4.4 or later.

Thank you
